Opportunities in Haiti

The FSIL School of Nursing welcomes visiting faculty and students.  Although a variety of opportunities exist, they are carefully selected to match FSIL’s needs and resources.  Some are made possible through grants written by individuals or institutions in the U.S.

Visiting faculty may elect to teach a short unit (one week) in a particular area of nursing instruction, remain for a longer period of time, or return at arranged intervals.  There are also limited opportunities for offering online instruction.

Visiting student experiences in a Third World country can be intensely rewarding.   Click on Visitors to FSIL to view a letter from Tim Bristol, PhD, RN, Director of Nursing at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota.  Included are photos and reflections from his trip to FSIL with eight Crown College nursing students in 2008.  He’s planning two trips with students in 2009.
