On January 10, 2009 the first class of 13 students graduated from the FSIL School of Nursing. They are the first in Haiti to graduate with a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). As far as we know, the three young men who graduated are the only male nurses in Haiti.

The festivities were planned in large part by these thirteen exceptional young men and women and their FSIL classmates. The Baccalaureate or Blessing Service took place on Friday, January 9, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Port-au-Prince. Both this service and the graduation the following day at Holy Trinity were presided over by the Rev. Jean Zaché Duracin, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti.

After the graduation attendees traveled to the FSIL campus for a reception. The following pictures paint a vivid picture of the beauty and significance of these events.
